Garcia Scores 30 as Glendale Remains Unbeaten, 88-78

Sophomore forward Charlie Garcia scored a career-high 30 points and had 11 rebounds as Glendale College improved to 4-0 with an 88-78 nonconference victory over Citrus on Wednesday night at Glendale.
Garcia, a graduate of Eagle Rock High, made 10 of 14 field-goal attempts and 10 of 11 free throws. Eric Scott was eight of 12 shooting and scored 19 points before fouling out with two minutes to play. Maurice Sowells added 12 points and a career-high 13 assists.
Glendale jumped to a 20-2 lead, but Citrus pulled even at 52-52. Tajuan Campbell led the Owls (1-3) with 32 points. Jarod Mix scored 17 points and Joey Hartman added 14 points.
