High-Five Mrs. Bs

Thank you for the “Five Mrs. Buchanans,” Saturday nights on CBS. It is one of the best comedies out there, and the characters are superb. Though Eileen Heckart and Judith Ivey steal the show, with their clipped, well-timed humor, each character really does a great job.

That’s saying a lot for CBS, because most of the time there isn’t much to watch on that network. We have “The Nanny,” and “Dave’s World,” but the “Five Mrs. Buchanans” are by far the best and funniest on TV right now (besides “Frasier”).
