Prop. 187 Coverage

As a devoted Times reader, I am disappointed in your biased publishing of mostly anti-187 articles and letters. In your Nov. 27 editorial of “Jail Overcrowding,” you mention inmates will leave early due to insufficient space; you do not mention that 18% of California’s inmates are illegal aliens.
While you focus on children of illegals being victims, you do not mention compromising the education of legal children by overcrowding classrooms particularly in low-income areas where we have gang problems and lower rates of graduation.
Latinos see 187 as racial discrimination. However, it is more a rebellion against classrooms becoming overcrowded, our streets becoming more dangerous, and putting our systems into chaos.
