JEFFERSON PARK : Deadline Extended for Quake Aid
- Share via
The deadline for applying for Northridge earthquake disaster assistance has been extended to Jan. 20, a plus for Crenshaw and South-Central Los Angeles, where damage was heavy in some parts.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency encourages anyone who suffered quake-related losses to apply for aid since there will be no further extensions.
Grants and loans are available through the FEMA Disaster Housing Assistance Program; the state-administered Individual and Family Grant Program, and the Small Business Administration’s disaster loan programs for homeowners, renters and business owners.
Help is available at the Crenshaw earthquake assistance center, 3420 W. Jefferson Blvd., or call (213) 730-5764, (800) 462-9029.
