The deadline for the donate-a-computer drive at Capistrano Valley High School has been extended until March.
During the Computers for Schools Program, Pacific Bell, GTE, Bank of America and other large corporations will give Capistrano Valley High School refurbished computers for every used one donated to the school by companies with fewer than 200 employees.
Donated computers must be in working order for academic use and have a hard drive, monitor and keyboard.
The school needs at the minimum “286” IBM-style personal computers or similar Apple and Macintosh brands.
Additional computer peripherals and education software are also needed.
Companies with fewer than 200 employees that are upgrading their computer systems are encouraged to participate in the program.
For more information, call the school at (714) 364-6100 or fax a message, (714) 347-0514.
