WESTLAKE : Area Improvement Coalition to Meet
- Share via
Local residents and merchants are invited to attend a community improvement meeting Thursday afternoon in Esperanza School auditorium.
The meeting is being held by a coalition of community groups that formed last fall, including the Westlake Neighborhood Watch, Hope in Youth, Pueblo Nuevo and other neighborhood improvement associations, some of which have consolidated their operations for greater efficiency in cleaning up the blighted neighborhood.
“It’s a lot easier going to one meeting than it is going to five or six,” said Kathy Lee, who is coordinating Thursday’s meeting.
Participants will discuss the coalition’s new communitywide Neighborhood Watch agenda and hear reports on crime hot spots from Rampart Division officers.
Although the coalition still has no formal name, it is being referred to as the Westlake Improvement Project.
The meeting is from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the school, 680 Little St.
Information: (818) 508-3360.
