QLogic Corp.: The Costa Mesa computer products company recorded a profit of $745,000, or 13 cents a share, for its third fiscal quarter, which ended Jan. 1. That contrasted with a loss of $5.5 million for the same period a year earlier, when the company restructured its operations and took charges related to its spin-off from Emulex Corp. Revenue rose 73% to $15.4 million from $8.9 million. Year-to-date profit was $1.9 million, or 35 cents a share, contrasted with a loss of $4.8 million a year earlier. Nine-month revenue was up 34% to $45 million from $33.5 million.
