Councilman Rudy Svorinich Jr. has begun looking for a new field deputy for the Watts area to replace Nicole Jones, who has taken a job with state Assemblyman Kevin Murray (D-Los Angeles).
Barry Glickman, Svorinich’s chief of staff, said the councilman’s office began reviewing candidates this week to replace Jones, who left her community liaison position at the end of last year. She is now a field representative for Murray, whose 47th Assembly District includes the Crenshaw area, Baldwin Hills and Culver City.
During the search for the new Watts deputy, Glickman said, Jones’ duties will be handled by staff member Marian Bellard.
No deadline has been set to find Jones’ replacement.
Other changes in the Watts office include the addition of a full-time receptionist. Information: (213) 485-3347.
