GRANADA HILLS : $25,000 Offered in Rape, Holdup in Couple’s Home

The Los Angeles City Council has offered a $25,000 reward leading to the arrest of two men wanted in a home invasion rape and robbery in Granada Hills, Los Angeles police said Wednesday.

Two gunmen forced their way into a couple’s home in the 17600 block of Tuscan Drive on the afternoon of Jan. 2 and tied up the man. One suspect raped the man’s wife, said Los Angeles Police Lt. Kyle Jackson. The pair then fled with about $51,000 in jewelry, cash and electronic equipment.

Police circulated composite drawings of the suspects. Both are Latino and have black hair and brown eyes, police said. One was described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 160 pounds and 30 to 35 years old. The other is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, 140 pounds and 20 to 25 years old. They were armed with .380-caliber semiautomatic handguns and fled in an old, four-door import car, police said.
