GARDEN GROVE — A noisy burglary suspect was arrested Wednesday morning after he woke a resident who sneaked out of the house to call 911.
Jose G. Lopez, 26, of Westminster was booked on suspicion of burglary after police showed up at the Bowen Street residence and found him ready to leave with $3,000 worth of the resident’s belongings, said Police Lt. John Woods.
The goods included stereo equipment, jewelry and cash, Woods said.
The resident was awakened shortly after 9 a.m. by noises in another room. She got up, saw a man taking property from the home and ran out undetected to call police from a neighbor’s house, Woods said.
An officer arrived less than 90 seconds later and found Lopez ready to leave in a vehicle loaded with the goods, Woods said.
