Man, 33, Slain in North Hills

A 33-year-old Van Nuys man was found shot to death in a North Hills apartment building early Saturday morning, Los Angeles police said.
The victim suffered a single gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
The man’s name was withheld pending notification of family.
The shooting occurred about 2:40 a.m. in an apartment in the 15100 block of Parthenia Street, police said. Officers responding to a report of shots fired found the victim in a second-floor hallway.
The motive for the shooting was not known and police had not identified suspects or witnesses.
