The Fitzgerald, 620 Post St., a 47-room hotel two blocks from Union Square in San Francisco, is offering an “Early Springtime” theater package through June 4. Prices are $85 for a double, including free parking and two tickets for the American Conservatory Theater; $55 for a single, including one theater ticket and half-price parking. (Hotel rack rates are $59-$115 and parking is usually $12 a day. Theater tickets usually range $20-$50.) The package includes continental breakfast and use of fitness facilities at the nearby Hotel Sheehan, but not hotel taxes. The American Conservatory Theater is staging “The Play’s the Thing” Feb. 15 through April 2 and “Othello” April 13 through June 4. Free for the Asking
The seventh edition of “Planning Your Trip to Europe,” a 60-page booklet that includes general travel information, a calendar of events and maps, is new for 1995.
