Blue Cross Subsidiary to Open Office in Camarillo

WellPoint Health Networks, a health maintenance organization (HMO) subsidiary of Blue Cross of California, announced that it has agreed to buy 61 acres in eastern Camarillo from Pardee Construction Co.
The HMO plans to move about 1,300 employees into the proposed insurance sales and policy processing complex.
The employees now work at sites in Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park.
And Ronan Engineering Corp., a Woodland Hills electronics manufacturer with 250 workers, has agreed to buy land on Townsgate Road near Westlake Boulevard in Thousand Oaks to build a 100,000-square-foot plant.
The company expects to relocate by the end of 1996.
