WEST HOLLYWOOD : Women Found in Closet Had Been Dead 2 Months
- Share via
The West Hollywood woman who was found dead in her bedroom closet last week died of starvation about two months before she was found, according to an autopsy.
The Los Angeles County coroner’s office said there were no apparent signs of injury on the body of Carol Fuller, 72, but the case is listed as a homicide because the woman died after a burglar barricaded her in the closet.
Neighbors had wondered what became of the widow, but no one checked on her until sheriff’s deputies entered the home Thursday.
The Sheriff’s Department has asked authorities around the country to broadcast the photo and description of a 1972 Lincoln that was stolen from the home on Crescent Heights Boulevard near Santa Monica Boulevard. The license for the white, two-door sedan is 2ATP684.
The Sheriff’s Department has received an outpouring of calls about the case. Plans for a reward are pending.
