Police Raid 7 Hong Kong Internet Access Providers: Authorities there said they seized equipment from the firms, which they described as unlicensed, saying that hackers were using them to gain access to other people’s computers. The computer network was closed to thousands of Hong Kong subscribers because of the raid. The companies, which sell access to the Internet, said they had been negotiating for licenses and telecommunications authorities had told them that they could continue to provide services while a solution was being sought.
