American Telephone & Data Inc.: The Newport Beach firm said it signed an agreement last week that releases it and its chairman, Lindsay B. Semple, as defendants in civil litigation filed by Galena Investments L.P. and eight other holders of the company’s common shares and warrants. The complaint, filed in U.S. District Court in Boise, Ida., alleges unlawful conduct in connection with offers for sale and purchase of the company’s common stock and warrants. The agreement states that the Galena group will assign all of its claims against the remaining defendants.
