NOTES : Alpha to Phase Out Belgian Unit; Toshiba Cuts Notebook Computer Price

Alpha Microsystems of Santa Ana, focusing on its software and service operations, said Friday that it is phasing out its Belgian unit over a two-year period and has reached an agreement for KeyNet Inc. of Windham, N.H., to take over its imaging product line. Financial terms of the KeyNet deal were not disclosed. The company said it will report the effect of the actions in its financial results, which it will release soon for the fourth quarter and year ended Feb. 26.
