COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Valley Prevails Against Mission After Squandering 5-Run Lead

Valley College blew a five-run lead in the 11th inning, then scored three unearned runs in the 12th to beat Mission, 12-9, Tuesday in a Western State Conference baseball game at Mission.
Ryan Mort relieved in the 12th for Valley (6-9-2, 3-1-1) with two runners on and retired the side.
Oxnard 13, Moorpark 4--Matt Anderson drove in four runs for the Condors (14-6, 3-2) in a WSC game at Oxnard. Brian Downing (3-1) pitched a six-hitter.
Antelope Valley 13, Victor Valley 11--Eric Cole and Tom King each had run-scoring doubles to pace a 20-hit attack for the Marauders (9-5-1, 4-1) in a Foothill Conference game.
Canyons 7, Glendale 3--Bobby Cowan scattered four hits over seven innings and Brad Coukos pitched two innings of hitless relief at Glendale.
Ventura 3, Santa Barbara 0--Jeff Hiserodt had two hits and drove in all three runs for the Pirates (9-5-1, 3-2) in a WSC game.
SOFTBALL
Cal Lutheran 2-1, La Verne 1-2--Aimee Snider drove in two runs and Gina Delianedis (4-2) retired 14 batters on grounders for the Regals in the opener.
Moorpark 1, Canyons 0--Jennifer Edwards’ single drove in Heather Pierskalla in a WSC game at Canyons.
