Pete Lythgoe
Cypress, Sophomore
Baseball/Pitcher
Lythgoe, from Sonora High, is one of many players who has stepped up for Cypress this season. The biggest single impact he has had on the team came when he stepped up to the plate late week. Lythgoe had 14 strikeouts in 11 innings and Cypress and Rancho Santiago were locked in a 3-3 tie. He left the mound in the 12th but went to right field. In that inning, Lythgoe, in only his fourth at-bat of the season, hit a two-run homer to give the Chargers a 5-3 victory.
