Sergei Fedorov had a goal and an assist to lead the surging Red Wings to a 3-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Friday night at Detroit.
The Red Wings are 5-0-1 in their last six games, and have the best 26-game start in franchise history. Vancouver lost for the second night in a row.
OTHER GAMES
Robert Reichel scored twice during a six-goal second period that carried the Flames to an 8-4 victory over Winnipeg at Calgary. . . . Third-period goals by Scott Thornton and Kelly Buchberger gave the Oilers a 5-3 victory over San Jose at Edmonton.
