Architectural Scholar to Speak at SCI-Arc

Architectural scholar Charles Jencks will speak on Tuesday and then will join Australian physicist and mathematician Paul Davies, recent winner of the $1-million Templeton Prize for Progress in Religion, on Wednesday in free 8 p.m. lectures at SCI-Arc, 5454 Beethoven St. in West Los Angeles.
Davies, author of “About Time: Einstein’s Unfinished Revolution,” will focus on questions raised by Einstein’s theory of relativity. Jencks will discuss his book, “Architecture of the Jumping Universe--A Polemic: How Complexity Science Is Changing Architecture and Culture.” For more details, phone (310) 574-1123.
