Terms of Cable Refund Announced: Nearly 175,000 Continental Cablevision customers in Los Angeles County will receive vouchers for cable services as part of a settlement announced Monday by the Federal Communications Commission. Subscribers in Downtown Los Angeles, Alameda, Venice, Marina del Rey, Westchester, Carson, Downey, La Mirada and Pomona will receive credits worth between $4.50 and $9.50 per customer, according to a Continental spokesman. The vouchers may be applied toward basic service, installation fees, equipment charges or premium channel service. In addition, all of Continental’s 3.1 million subscribers nationwide will see their rates drop 15%, the company said.
