Capistrano Valley 8, San Clemente 3--Todd Miller had two hits and three RBIs and Johnny DiCorpo had a home run for visiting Capistrano Valley (6-5, 3-3).

Dana Hills 6, Mission Viejo 2--John Morgan had three hits and Scott Maynard had two for Dana Hills (6-7, 3-3). Maynard pitched a five-hitter.

In the Academy League:

Liberty Christian 16, Capistrano Valley Christian 1 (5, mercy)--Paul Malcom hit a home run and John Church struck out 10 for Liberty Christian (6-4, 2-0).

In the Century League:

Foothill 16, Orange 4--Ryan Zeber had two doubles, scored three runs and drove in three for Foothill (4-6-1, 2-3). Tyler Lang added two hits, four RBIs and two runs scored and Shaw Scovel had two hits and three RBIs for the Knights. Orange is 6-5, 4-1.

Santa Ana Valley 5, El Modena 3--Robert Serrano’s RBI single capped a two-run seventh inning for visiting Santa Ana Valley (5-4, 3-2). Wayne Restrepo had three hits and three RBIs for the Falcons.

Canyon 9, Villa Park 6--Eric Valent had two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs for visiting Canyon (8-3, 3-2).

In the Empire League:

El Dorado 8, Cypress 5 (8)--Donny Jamieson pitched two innings in relief to improve to 7-0 and Chris Cox added two hits for No. 1 El Dorado (11-2, 5-1). Jake Bratcher had two hits and scored a run for host Cypress (6-6, 2-4).

Katella 9, Kennedy 1--Drake Gustafson went two for three with three RBIs and Jason Stockstill had an RBI triple for Katella (8-5, 5-1).

Loara 8, Century 5--Dan Guzman’s two-run home run highlighted a four-run fifth inning for visiting Loara (8-4, 3-3).

In the Olympic League:

Calvary Chapel 4, Orange Lutheran 0--John Tucker pitched his second consecutive shutout for Orange Lutheran (8-3-1, 5-0-1). Tucker allowed only three hits.

In the Pacific Coast League:

Laguna Hills 4, Laguna Beach 3--Charlie Noble had a two-run single in the bottom of the seventh for Laguna Hills (8-3, 4-1).

In the Sea View League:

El Toro 3, Corona del Mar 2--Joe Smith struck out five and allowed two earned runs to earn the victory for host El Toro (4-2 in league).

Irvine 5, Newport Harbor 1--Matt Ward (6-1) pitched a two-hitter, striking out six and walking none, and Shaun Wooley was two for two with two RBIs for sixth-ranked Irvine (10-2, 5-1).
