Let’s see now. If we dismantled the CIA, that would save $30 billion. If we didn’t loan Mexico the $20 billion, that would save $50 billion. And I just read that we give Egypt $2.3 billion a year.
It would be really fascinating if the Times would publish the actual annual budget of the federal government. If voters were given the information and asked for their thoughts, I bet we could balance the federal budget in record time.
