SANTA CLARITA — A body dumped last week near the Golden State Freeway near Six Flags Magic Mountain has been identified as that of a Lynwood man, authorities said Wednesday.
Rodolfo Lizarraga, 34, was found the morning of April 6 about 10 feet from the freeway with several plastic trash bags over his head and a blood-soaked cloth around his neck, said Scott Carrier, spokesman for the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
“It’s certainly being investigated as a homicide,” Carrier said.
Details about Lizarraga’s injuries, if any, were not released. Carrier said further tests, including a toxicology exam, are scheduled to determine the cause of Lizarraga’s death.
