Casinos Are a Good Bet

Re: “Legalize Casinos to Resolve Fiscal Crisis,” April 9:

Malcolm D. Paul’s solution to the Orange County fiscal crisis by legalizing casinos should be backed by every Orange County resident.

It is no longer a question of legalizing gambling--we now have (the) lottery and keno . . . to bet on, bingo everywhere--the churches, retirement homes, schools, horse races and football games.

If the state legalized casinos, we might eliminate the state’s sales tax.
