SUN VALLEY — Police were searching Friday for clues in the shooting death of a 20-year-old man whose shirtless body was dumped off the Golden State Freeway.
The body of Juan Gomez was found by a pedestrian in the hills between Cohasset Street and the northbound side of the freeway on Thursday night, Lt. Joe Garcia said.
Police identified Gomez through fingerprints, Garcia said, but added that authorities are baffled over a motive for the slaying. Garcia estimated that Gomez had been dead three or four days.
