Humane Society Week Will End in Open House

The Pasadena Humane Society is holding its “Be Kind to Animals Week” this week, culminating in its annual open house on Saturday.
Each day this week the society is offering free samples of pet food, toys and equipment.
On Saturday the open house will include demonstrations by Flying Sam the Frisbee Dog, guide dogs for the blind, service dogs for the disabled, the Los Angeles Search Dog Assn. and the Pasadena Police Department K-9 Unit.
The society will also offer lectures on animals such as bats, reptiles, rabbits and ferrets, and presentations on pet health and grief counseling for pet owners. Visitors may also tour the facility.
The event will be at 361 S. Raymond Ave. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call (818) 792-7151, Ext. 114.
