OUR HISTORY IN NEW YORK by Linsey Abrams (Global City Press: $12; 157 pp., paperback original). The upscale lesbians in Abrams’ highly praised novel navigate the shoals of life in trendy Manhattan. The battle to cope with urban tensions has bleached out their humanity, leaving pallid symbols of modern anomie.
