The Jewish Federation Council of Greater Los Angeles will hold a 5K/10K run/walk in Woodland Hills on Sunday to raise money for its wide variety of charitable activities.
The event will start at Independence Avenue and Victory Boulevard and finish at Pierce College. Afterwards, food and entertainment will be provided as the federation stages the Valley Jewish Festival, which is held every other year.
Corey Slavin, director of the race, said she expects about 500 participants. The race costs $18 to enter. People can arrange sponsorships, Slavin said.
“It’s a chance to get the entire community together,” she said, “to get people from all walks of life to have a good time, and to do something to raise money for other people.”
Registration will begin at 7 a.m., with the race at 8:30.
