Two Narbonne High School students accused in the fatal beating of a classmate last month pleaded not guilty Monday to murder charges.
Rene Nieves and Christian Bremmer, both 18, were arraigned in San Pedro Municipal Court. They are scheduled back in court June 22 for a preliminary hearing, a clerk said.
Nieves and Bremmer are among half a dozen teen-agers charged in the on-campus assault on Shazeb Andleeb.
The 17-year-old was beaten to death after a dispute over a guest list he was making for an upcoming party, a prosecutor said.
