Anaheim : Stand-Up Comedy, Tea Workshops Scheduled

Workshops on how to perform a stand-up comedy routine and how to host a tea are among the programs being offered this month by the Anaheim Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department.
The stand-up comedy workshop will explore joke writing, performance techniques and coping with stage fright.
Participants will have the opportunity to perform five- to 10-minute routines in front of an audience.
The $35 workshop will be from 7 to 10 p.m. June 13 and 20 at Peralta Recreation Center, 111 N. Pinney Ave.
Tips on how to prepare a tea will be discussed from 7 to 9 p.m. June 15.
Topics will include table settings, selecting teas, preparing invitations, and making scones and tea cakes.
The workshop will be at Brookhurst Community Center, 2271 W. Crescent Ave. The cost is $15 for registration and $8 for supplies.
