Lufthansa Weighs Deal With United: The airline said it may seek antitrust immunity with United Airlines to allow the carriers to coordinate pricing and other operations once a permanent aviation pact is reached between Germany and the United States. A permanent agreement, replacing the temporary one between the two countries, is expected in 1997. Lufthansa Chairman Juergen Weber said his airline’s lack of antitrust immunity is unfair. Weber said Lufthansa’s year-old code-sharing agreement with United has added a combined 1,000 extra passengers a day to the two airlines.
