HUNTINGTON BEACH : Nighttime Beach Lot Parking Rate Reduced

Seeking to encourage people to use beach parking lots at night, the city has reduced the parking rate to $3 after 5 p.m.
Community services director Ron Hagan said parking lots are usually filled to a 95% occupancy rate during the day. But in the evenings, people are opting to park elsewhere to avoid paying the $6 daytime rate.
The city beach, which stretches from Beach Boulevard to Golden West Street, closes at 10 p.m.
