Classical music fans who prefer a short, late-afternoon concert with explanations can take advantage of a new three-concert series from the Pacific Symphony called “Classical Connections.” Each 70-minute concert begins on a Saturday at 4:30 p.m. Music director Carl St.Clair will discuss, then lead a performance of, the principal work on that week’s regular classics series. Series tickets are $60 for all seats. Individual concerts, $22. (714) 755-5799.
