E STREET SHUFFLER: While other former Bruce Springsteen sidemen seem to be waiting for their once and future Boss to call, Steve Van Zandt has been keeping very busy: He’s recorded a new album of his own with bassist Adam Clayton of U2 and drummer Jason Bonham, written a Broadway-style musical, produced songs for Meat Loaf’s next album, provided an original song for the upcoming movie “Nine Months” and is touring with fellow Jersey-ites Bon Jovi in Europe.
Well, OK, he’s also waiting for that call.
“Bruce is writing right now, “ he says. “It might be a solo record, it might be an E Street record. If he needs me to help him make a new E Street record, or anything else for that matter, I am there. He is now, always has been and always will be my priority.”
