NORTH HILLS — Police are looking for a man who beat and sexually assaulted a 59-year-old woman and a 15-year-old girl on her way home from school in the same area over the past week.
The woman was attacked Sunday about 11 p.m., as she entered her car parked on Orion Avenue, south of Parthenia Street, said Los Angeles Police Sgt. Kirk Wilder. Her attacker beat her and grabbed her purse, then forced her into the car, sexually assaulted her, and fled on foot.
On Monday, a 15-year-old girl was attacked by the same man as she walked on Parthenia west of Aqueduct Avenue, Wilder said. The man covered the girl’s face with his hand, dragged her into nearby bushes and sexually assaulted and beat her. He then fled on foot, Wilder said.
The man was described as a Latino with a muscular build, about 25 to 32 years old, 5-foot-9 or 5-foot-10, weighing about 170 pounds with dark hair and eyes.
