Fullerton Offers Help to Home Buyers

FULLERTON — First-time home buyers who need financial assistance may get help from the city.
Fullerton’s down payment assistance program has $1 million to provide in loans to low-income residents who are first-time home buyers.
The loans must be paid back in 30 years, and no interest is charged, officials said.
People who live or work in the city are given priority.
To apply for a loan or for more information on the program, call (714) 738-6883.
In addition, free workshops on how to buy homes will be presented by the Fullerton housing programs office on July 22 and Aug. 2.
The July 22 workshop will be from 9 a.m. to noon at the Fullerton Senior Multi-Service Center, at 340 W. Commonwealth Ave., and the Aug. 2 session will be from 6 to 9 p.m. at City Hall.
