Westside : Brentwood Residents Hail Ramp Closure

An off-ramp leading from the San Diego Freeway to a Brentwood neighborhood has been closed for lack of use.
Why? Usage was so low Caltrans couldn’t justify the cost of maintaining it.
The neighbors near the Waterford exit couldn’t be happier and hope that the yearlong trial closure becomes permanent.
The relentless stream of cars that spilled onto their quiet street when the freeway was clogged drove them to distraction.
“On holidays, we can’t even go out into the front yard, it’s so loud,” homeowner Linda Seltzer lamented.
