Guliano, Masters Lead South Team to 34-0 Victory

Joe Guliano from Orange Lutheran and Bobby Masters from St. Margaret’s led the South team to a 34-0 victory in the North-South Christian All-Star football game Saturday at Blair Field in Long Beach.
Guliano, Division X player of the year in 1995, displayed the running ability that earned him the chance to play for Princeton, as he carried 10 times for 102 yards.
Masters, who will attend San Jose State, threw for 101 yards and three touchdowns, including a 10-yard scoring completion to Orange Lutheran’s Tom Pannell.
The South offense gained 455 yards and its defense, which was led by Pannell and Manny Marquez from Southern California Christian, limited the North to 85 yards.
