Rockwell Telecommunications: The Newport Beach company said Wednesday that it has completed an agreement to purchase a wafer fabrication facility in Colorado Springs, Colo., from United Technologies Microelectronics Center. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal is expected to close within 60 days. Under the purchase agreement, Rockwell will supply United Technologies Microelectronics Center, a subsidiary of United Technologies and the current operator of the facility, with processed silicon wafers. The approximately 100 employees will be offered positions with Rockwell Telecommunications.
