Wine Whine

Bravo, Dan Berger. Finally, someone had the nerve to whine about the price of our favorite grape drink (Wine column, July 6)! One of my favorite neighborhood restaurants (nothing fancy, just good food) charges over five bucks for a glass of Merlot. And to add insult to injury, the glass is filled a little over half way. I never understood that ritual--a half a glass of wine at three times the retail price.
Hopefully, L.A. restaurants will pay heed to New York’s Cite restaurant and let the wine flow--just like their profits do now.
