Pat Quinn, formerly the boys’ basketball coach at Saddleback High School, has been hired to be the girls’ coach at Woodbridge, Warriors Athletic Director Dave Cowen announced Wednesday.
Quinn guided Saddleback to the 1989 Division I-AA championship game, where it lost to Long Beach Millikan.
Quinn replaces Eric Bangs, who led Woodbridge to a 33-1 record and the State Division II title last season. Bangs, who compiled a 296-69 record at Woodbridge, resigned to pursue a teaching career and become an assistant at Irvine Valley College.
