Toys R Us to Offer Software: The company said it will set up special sections in all 618 of its U.S. toy stores devoted to family-oriented computer software. The software and the merchandising services will be supplied by NewMedia Express, a joint venture between El Segundo-based Mattel and Torrance-based Davidson & Associates, a developer and distributor of educational and entertainment software. NewMedia, which was formed in April, is based in Rancho Dominguez and operates independently from Mattel and Davidson.
