OAK PARK : Pit Bull Put to Death After Fatal Mauling
- Share via
The pit bull that fatally mauled a 5-month-old Oak Park girl has been put to death by the Ventura County Department of Animal Regulation, officials said.
The dog, Lucy, was killed Wednesday by a lethal injection of sodium pentobarbital, said Kathy Jenks, the county’s animal regulation director.
Owners Bryan and Natalie Hull gave Lucy to the county department for euthanizing after she fatally attacked their daughter, Jessica Hull, Monday morning, Jenks said.
The attack was the first dog-bite fatality recorded in Ventura County, Jenks said.
