Don Heckman’s review of “The Complete Capitol Recordings of Duke Ellington” (Jazz Spotlight, July 16) contained an error: The drummer of that period was Butch Ballard. A Philadelphian, as am I, Butch is one of my hometown inspirations and I’d like for him to get his due.
