H.F. Ahmanson Names New Executive Vice President

E. Nancy Markle has been promoted to executive vice president of Irwindale-based H.F. Ahmanson & Co. and its Home Savings of America unit.
Markle, who joined Home Savings in July, 1994, has been first vice president and director of information services, overseeing the company’s information technology activities.
Markle has more than 25 years of experience in systems management and technology. Before joining the company, she was president of Information Technology Consultants in Palm Harbor, Fla. Home Savings is the nation’s largest savings institution and one of the leading U.S. residential mortgage lenders.
* Robert Krant has been appointed senior vice president and manager in the international department of City National Bank. He most recently ran the company’s corporate lending office in Los Angeles.
City National Bank is headquartered in Beverly Hills.
* Henry (Hank) Wasiak has been named to the newly created post of executive vice president for McCann-Erickson North America and managing director of McCann-Erickson West.
Wasiak will be based at McCann Los Angeles, where he will also serve as general manager. He was most recently co-founder and partner in Capstone International, a St. Petersburg, Fla.-based marketer and importer of alcoholic beverages.
* Los Angeles-based Asher/Gould Advertising has named Barry H. Schoenfeld to the newly created position of senior vice president, director of strategic planning. He has held similar positions in recent years at Keye/Donna/Pearlstein and Saatchi & Saatchi.
