PALMDALE — Police on Wednesday identified as Palmdale residents three teen-agers and a man killed Tuesday in a two-vehicle collision.
All were thrown from a Ford Mustang car that apparently ran a stop sign and rolled several times after being sideswiped by a Toyota at the intersection of Trade Center and Auto Center drives, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials said.
Gustavo Perez, 41, the Mustang’s driver, and Jessie Toll, 13, died at the scene, officials said. Jessie’s brother, Alberto, 14, died of critical injuries at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Antelope Valley Hospital Medical Center in Lancaster, said coroner’s spokesman Scott Carrier.
Eric Mejia, 15, described by a sheriff’s official as a close family friend of the Tolls, died of his injuries at 4:20 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills.
Alina Toll, 42, the mother of the teen-age brothers and apparently the only passenger in the Mustang wearing a seat belt, and the Toyota’s driver, Mary Finnie, 43, suffered minor injuries.
