Man Dies After Jumping From Overpass Onto Ventura Freeway

A 43-year-old man was killed Tuesday when he jumped from an overpass and hit a car on the freeway below, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.
The apparent suicide occurred about 5:20 p.m. on the eastbound Ventura Freeway in Glendale, just north of Glendale Avenue, said CHP Officer Eric Barrow.
After jumping from the overpass, the man landed on top of a car, Barrow said. The incident closed three lanes of the freeway.
