PARIS — A 25-year-old woman died after being hit by a stray bullet during a shootout between rival teenage gangs in the Paris suburb of Epinay-sur-Seine, police sources said Thursday.
The sources said the woman, 25, a passerby, was a Paris resident. A 5-year-old child who was playing with his brother nearby was hospitalized in serious condition after being wounded in the cross-fire.
Police were questioning some of the youths involved in Wednesday’s shootout. They did not say what caused the dispute.
